The Perfect Drug | Chaitanya Saini | Book Review
“The Perfect Drug” by Chaitanya Saini has a unique concept, bound to make you want to read it. I haven’t read much books on spirituality (I do not usually enjoy the genre), but The Perfect Drug was quite good. The plot revolves around Ananya, who gets admission into St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi to study Chemistry. He makes friends, and no different than anyone his age, is full of curiosity and excitement for the journey that lies ahead. He finds a girl named Anushree, with whom he really connects to on a spiritual level, and becomes close to her. But she becomes a drug addict and one fine day disappears out of the blue from Ananya’s life, leaving him heartbroken. Ananya finds a book named “Psychedelic Chemistry” that immensely interests him and hence begins his quest of creating a drug that would enable a person to attain a higher state of consciousness, to rise above the maya veil.
